Botanical Description

Tufted to colony-forming, from an elongated branching rootstock. Leaves 2-5cm long, lanceolate to oblanceolate. Flowers upward-facing, funnel-shaped with narrow, spreading lobes up to 2cm wide, light blue, one to four on stems 6-12cm tall. California to Washington State, Montana and Idaho, at alpine levels among rocks.
