(syn. C. linifolia). Colony-forming, spreading by creeping rhizomes. Stems ascending to erect 10-25cm long. Basal leaves rounded to heart-shaped, crenate, withered at flowering time. Flowers 2-2.5cm long, bell-shaped with spreading lobes, blue, one to several per stem. Southern and central Europe in mountain meadows. Very close to C. carnica and formerly classified as a variety of it (when known under its C. linifolia synonym).
