Tufted clump-forming, 15-20cm tall. Leaves broadly ovate-cordate, crenate-dentate, 2-5cm long and wide. Flowers blue, violet or white, 2cm or more across, spring to summer. Oregon to Alaska and adjacent Siberia, in moist to wet habitats.
