Stems decumbent, 8-17cm long. Leaves sessile, elliptic to ovate, 6-10cm long, spotted and mottled in several shades of green-brown. Flowers stemless, deep purple, strongly carrion scented, the petals 3-5cm long, spring. Georgia, U.S.A. T.r. forma luteum has yellow to greenish-yellow petals.
