Stem to 40cm high. Leaves broadly rhomboid, 8-15cm long, unmottled. Flowers held on horizontal or ascending stems, not below the leaves, the petals 2-5cm long, usually white to cream, more rarely infused with pink or reddish-brown, reflexed but not recurved, ovaries white to pink. North-eastern U.S.A. but local.
