A hybrid between S. aretioides, S. burseriana and S. diapensioides. Two cultivars have been named: 'Diana'. Forms a small, tight mass of crowded rosettes of 5-6mm long, sharply pointed, glabrous-green leaves. Flowering stems 2-6cm high, bearing one to three very pale yellow flowers, petals 7-10mm long. Said to be a very rare and elegant plant, slow growing and of great charm. 'Salome'; like 'Diana' but makes an even more diminutive plant, the rosettes very small and crowded and the flowers more starry with narrower, wavy-margined petals.
