Densely tufted with 4-5mm, congested, narrowly lanceolate basal and stem leaves. Flowering stem from 5-15cm tall, usually unbranched, carrying two or more pairs of leaves and three purplish-pink flowers 8-10mm across. Mountain rocks and screes in the Pyrenees.
