Botanical Description

the leaves rounded-cordate to shortly kidney-shaped, shallowly five to nine-lobed. Racemes leafless, 30-50cm in height, the flowers in a row on one side (secund). Flowers white, the petals divided into three linear segments, late spring. Washington State to Oregon, Rocky Mountains, and Montana to Colorado, in moist woodland.
