Flowers 4-6cm across with a very long tube (10-14cm in length), falls white to cream veined purple-blue, standards and styles palest blue or blue-purple, late spring. Iran, Afghanistan and adjacent Russian Asia on open rocky or grassy slopes at 2200-2600 m; possibly also in Baluchistan and Tibet. [Pl.231]
