Usually 30-50cm tall. Leaves 10-20cm across, long-stalked, rounded and palmate in outline but divided into three main, boldly toothed leaflets, each one cut into two or three lobes. Flowers 1-1.5cm long, usually white or green tinted, in compact cymes, late spring to summer. California to Washington State, in redwood, fir or mixed forest where the soil is moist.
