Leaves plain green without a petiole. Flowers small, solitary, yellow with greenish veins. Style not three lobed. Anthers reddish. There are no auricles at the petal bases. Flas characters both of E. grandiflorum and E. tuolumnense but matches neither. Idaho in the Sawtooth Mountains in conifer woods near snowline.
