Douglas ex Benth. Perennial with a woody, much-branched caudex and decumbent stems 5-12cm in length. Leaves oblanceolate, l-3cm long, almost glabrous above, tomentose beneath, in whorls at the upper nodes. Flowering stems 5-15cm long, ascending to erect. Flowers solitary or in umbels, cream to yellow, solitary or in umbels, cream to yellow, summer. California to Washington State and Nevada, in dry rocky localities in sagebrush, pine-juniper woodland at 900-2250m.
