Douglas ex Benth. Woody based perennial 45-80cm tall, the stems villous-pubescent. Leaves mainly basal, 7.5-20cm long, lanceolate to ovate-sagittate, glabrous above, loosely downy beneath. Inflorescence loosely branched with scattered umbels of white flowers aging pink, summer. North-western USA, in sagebrush desert and open montane ridges. Too diffuse and large for the alpine enthusiast.
