Botanical Description

Stems 25-45cm in height, slender. Flowers white with long, blackish-green calluses on the narrow lateral sepals, a weakly trilobed lip 18 by 7mm covered at the base with a series of dark, fleshy ridges which reduce to falcate papillae near the tip. Chile, from the central provinces to the southern volcanoes, in sandy plains, coastal hills, woodland clearings from sea level to 1000m.
