Leaves 2-6cm long, narrowly lanceolate in outline, having one or two pairs of spreading linear lobes. Floral bracts deeply cleft and closely appressed, yellow or dullred-tipped. Flowers to 1.2cm long, yellowish, with a red-tipped calyx, late summer. California and Oregon above 1500m, on rocky slopes, in Abies magnifica forest and alpine fellfields.
