Botanical Description

Monocarpic or biennial, grey hairy throughout. Leaves in a rosette, broadly ovate-cordate, serrated, densely silky hairy, long stalked. Flowers 2.5cm long, broadly bell-shaped, palest yellow to cream, in erect racemes 30-60cm tall. Bulgaria and Yugoslavia, among mountain rocks. Needs keeping on the dry side in winter and best in the alpine house, but worth trying in a sheltered dry wall.
