Botanical Description

from a short, woody rhizome. Stems slender, branched, more or less decumbent, 10-20cm in length. Basal leaves ovate-cordate, sharply toothed, usually withered at flowering time. Flowers 1.5-2cm long, bell-shaped with broad flared lobes, deep lilac. Southwestern Yugoslavia in limestone crevices and cliffs. C.h. 'Nana' is dwarfer, and more usually seen in gardens.
