Densely tufted, the stems usually up to 5cm long, sometimes to 10cm. Basal leaves rosetted, 5-20mm long, obovate to spathulate, crenate-dentate, hirsute; upper ones ovate, much smaller. Flowers bell-shaped with flared lobes, to 1.5cm long, rich violet-blue, late summer. Turkey, in granite and limestone crevices at 2350-3500m.
