Height 12-40cm. Basal leaf long and broad, withering quickly. Stem leaves linear. Stem slender, erect, usually branched, without bulbils. Flowers usually two, broadly campanulate, erect, often small, (2-3cm), deep yellow to orange, heavily spotted and streaked brown, often with a reddish-brown margin, the petals abundantly bearded, the glands circular, slightly depressed, naked but bordered with a ring of long hairs. Southern California on dry rocky hillsides. This is one of the easiest of the late flowering Cyclobothra section.
