Botanical Description

Height 10-20cm. Basal leaf 10-20cm long, 2-10mm wide. Stem leafless, erect or flexuous, unbranched. Flowers one to five, cup-shaped, erect or spreading, pale lavender deepening towards the base, the petals fringed and very hairy with darker transverse glands which are slightly depressed and have a fringed membrane below and dense hairs above. California in open conifer forest. One of the most beautiful and easiest of the Cat's Ears in a humus-rich compost in a bulb frame or cold house.
