Botanical Description

Bulbs obliquely ovoid, solitary or in clumps. Stems 6-12cm tall, flattened. Leaves much longer than stems, falcate, thick-textured, 8-15mm wide. Flowers narrowly bell-shaped with wide-spreading pointed tips, deep rose-pink, about 1cm long, thirty or more in hemispherical umbels, summer. California and southern Oregon in sagebrush scrub and montane conifer forests in gravelly soils at 1000-2500m.
