Botanical Description

with shortly creeping rhizomes, 10-15cm tall. Leaves pinnate-pinnatifid to bipinnate, the undersides white-woolly when young, maturing reddish-brown. Circumpolar and cool temperate regions in crevices and ledges both moist and dry, sunny and shady, often with mosses. Hardy and grows well in an acid scree bed.
