Botanical Description

Stems 15-60cm tall. Leaves rhombic-ovate, 4-15cm long, short-stalked. Flowers stalked, white, sometimes cream or pink, with a purplish ovary, the petals wavy-edged, reflexed, 2-3cm long, hanging below the leaves. Widespread in eastern Canada and eastern U.S.A. as far south as Virginia. A robust garden plant.
