in part). Similar to T. longipes but somewhat larger overall. Stems 2-6cm high when flowering starts, elongating to 10-20cm. Leaves 20-30cm long and relatively much wider, (up to 2.5cm, those of longipes only to 1.2cm), often with reddish membranous margins. Flowers 3.5-4.4cm wide, purple or blue, early summer. Missouri and Kansas to Texas, in rocky prairie-lands.
