Similar to T. rugospermum but more robust and with leaves to 2mm thick, with or without a straight mucronate tip (rugospermum has a prominent curved mucro). Flowers pale pink or white, flushed pink, summer. Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Tennessee to Georgia and Alabama, on dry, often serpentine rock outcrops and sand.
