Botanical Description

Basal leaves round to heart-shaped, toothed and shallowly lobed, 2-3cm across. Flowering stems weak, 10-20cm high carrying racemes of rounded to bell-shaped flowers, with four, blue-purple petals, the deeply cleft lobes longer than the tube, spring. Central and western U.S.A. in moist grassy places about 2200m. One of the easiest species to grow.
