Botanical Description

Stems 10-25cm tall, very slender, rarely above 1mm in width. Leaves shorter, the same width. Spathes two, green or purple-flushed, the outer one longer. Flowers violet to pale-rose 8-14mm across. British Columbia to Manitoba to Washington State and North Dakota, in wet grassland. Appears to be closely related to S. mucronatum.
