Leaves more or less imbricate, entire, oblanceolate-spathulate, blunt, 8-12 by 2-5mm, tapering to a short, slender base. Flowerheads sessile, discoid, yellow, 7 by 8mm, the phyllaries woolly at the base and dark-tipped, summer. Chile and Argentina, an endemic of Tierra del Fuego, in screes, feldmark and dwarf open heathland at 500-1100m.
