Botanical Description

Compactly clustered to hummock-forming, rhizomatous to 1.5cm high. Leaves in flat rosettes, obovate to oblanceolate, obtuse or apiculate 6-9mm long. Flowers in clusters of three or four, on 6cm stems with five white petals having pink keels. California, from Sugarloaf Mountain and near other peaks and northern slopes of the mountain ranges, in moist, shady sites to nearly 3000m.
