Much like S. bigelovii, but smaller overall, the flowers having sepals up to 1cm long, greyish-yellow with purple veins and mottling. Oregon, in the coastal mountains and Cascades, in damp woods, often by streams. Rarely cultivated, though stocks are available commercially; in view of its diminutive stature a pot or moist trough offer the most suitable homes.
