Botanical Description

Britton ex Small &: Vail. (4). Very similar to S. ferruginea but somewhat taller, the leaves having larger, coarser teeth, four to eight on each side. South-eastern U.S.A. on cliffs and banks. Suitable for a shaded site. Needs abundant water during the growing season.
