Botanical Description

Very similar to S. reptans, but having blunt hairless leaves. Extreme northeastern Siberia, in the region of the Bering Strait. A willow sometimes offered under this name, or as S. ovata, is probably a hybrid of S. helvetica and S. herbacea and is a quite different plant: a small compact shrub with dull grey-green broadly oval leaves.
