Botanical Description

Douglas ex Hook. Mat-forming, prickly stemmed, to 60cm or so across. Leaves evergreen, heart-shaped, sometimes more or less three-lobed, toothed, glossy, 3-6cm long. Flowers pink to purple, sometimes white, summer. Fruits red, formed of four to nine drupelets. British Columbia to Oregon and Idaho, in the mountains.
