Leaves to 25cm long, pointed and channelled, appearing after the flowers. Stems 12-25cm tall. Flowers two to five, crowded, erect, sulphur to lime-yellow with a green base, open goblet shaped, 3-4.2cm long. Argentina, northern Patagonia to Mendoza, in dryish volcanic sandy places at 1000-2000m. Resembles R. elwesii in bloom. [Pl.422].
