Botanical Description

with more or less prostrate simple stems, 5-10cm tall. Leaves with flat petioles, rounded in outline, tripartite, the leaflet-like segments entire or having two to three more or less toothed lobes. Flowers up to 2.2cm wide, yellow, solitary or in twos and threes, late spring to summer. Central Asia, in alpine regions by rock bound streams and on stony slopes or by snow patches.
