A member of section Aleuritia from the canyons of western USA. Leaves spathulate, white farinose on both surfaces, densely so beneath, crinkled and toothed on the margins, 4-13cm long by 7-20mm wide. Flowers lavender with a yellow eye, to 15 mm across, two to ten in umbels on stems 10-16cm high. Utah, and Arizona, U.S.A. in cliff crevices, including the Grand Canyon. Rare in cultivation.
