Botanical Description

Basal leaves rounded to obovate, 3-6cm long, with or without teeth, long-stalked, silvery hairy. Racemes 5-15cm high sometimes more. Flowers 1-1.2cm across, yellow, late spring. Seed pods 1-1.5cm long, inflated. California to Nevada and Utah, on dry limestone slopes, often in light pine-juniper woodland at 1600-2600m.
