Tufted woody-based perennial with decumbent to erect stems 20-40cm long. Leaves narrowly lanceolate to linear, long-pointed, thickish-texture, entirely glabrous. Flowers 2-3cm in diameter, pink (rarely) to white, in clusters of three to twelve, fragrant, spring. Western Idaho and adjacent Oregon near the Washington State boundary, in low scrub on rocky slopes up to 1300m.
