Botanical Description

Douglas ex Hook. [1-3] Stems 30-100cm tall. Leaves up to 10cm long, basal ones often sharply serrate. Flowers blue, 1.5-2.2cm long. Open woods west of the Cascade summits, at elevations of less than 1050m in Washington, extending only a short distance into British Columbia and Oregon. Dwarf blue forms are among the easiest, most durable and showiest of penstemons.
