Stems 8-25cm tall. Leaves entire, all cauline, cinereous-pubescent with non-glandular hairs, linear to oblanceolate, 2.4-4.8cm long. Thyrse often aggregated, flowers 1.5-2.2cm long, purple or blue-purple, to reddish-violet. Dry sagebrush valleys and pinyon-juniper wooded hills at 1500-3000m in Oregon and Nevada. Not cultivated.
