Botanical Description

L M. Johnst.) Keck. [3-4?] Stems 5-15cm tall, densely leafy below, leaves cinereous-puberulent, linear-oblanceolate, entire, thick, 5-9mm long, mucronate. Flowers blue with purplish cast, 1.4-1.8cm long. Stony slopes at 3500-7000' in chaparral and yellow pine forest. San Jacinto Mts., Santa Rosa Mts., Aguanga and Baja California. Endangered species. Not cultivated.
