Botanical Description

A rounded shrublet to 60cm or more tall. Leaves linear, mucronate. Flowers 1.5-2.5cm long, having a narrow tube with phlox-like face, white with rose-pink reverse. Sandy areas in New Mexico. Widespread species, most often found in sandy soils. Can be 1.5m tall in southerly locations; dwarfest forms are generally pink and northerly.
