Botanical Description

Stems 10-25cm high, ascending to erect, pubescent above. Leaves mainly basal, 3-8cm long, narrowly ovate in outline, pinnatisect with pinnatifid segments. Flowers 2cm long, pink to red-purple, in dense racemes, summer. Arctic Russia to Ural mountains and the Sudetan mountains of Poland and Czechoslovakia, in mossy tundra, bogs and flushes.
