Racemes about half as long as leaves, few to ten flowered. Flowers bell-shape, to 5mm across, white to pale purple, late summer. Fruits pea-sized, blue. China, Korea, Japan, in woods and shady places. Can be invasive in humus-rich soils. O.j. var. umbrosus, see O. ohwii.
