Botanical Description

Leaves four or five per bulb, filiform, to 25cm or more long. Stems 15-25cm high, very slender. Flowers nine to eleven, sometimes less, 1.5-2cm in diameter, the very narrow two-toned pink petals being recurved and undulate, autumn. Cape, Transkei. Almost evergreen, at least in cultivation. Said to resent disturbance and to take some time to settle down after division, only flowering well when established.
