Botanical Description

Leaves two, glaucous, erect, striate on outer face, slightly twisted. Stem slightly compressed (no keel), suberect, to 18cm tall. Pedicel 6mm long. Flowers solitary, medium yellow.

perpendicular to stem, tube green, 1.2cm long, tepals deflexed, scarcely twisted, just imbricate, corona 2.1cm high, 2.1cm in diameter at margin, constricted below centre, margin very expanded deeply lobed, dentate and crenate. Anthers uniseriate, overtopped by style, spring. Calcareous soil in northern Spain around Pamplona.
