Botanical Description

Leaves two to four, 28cm long at flowering time by 9mm wide, glaucous, striate but without keel, erect. Stem compressed, 40cm tall. Pedicels 1cm long. Flowers one to eight, white, ascending 3.5cm in diameter, tube white, funnel-shaped expanding to 6mm diameter, tepals patent or incurving, imbricate at base, corona almost absent. Anthers exserted, filaments attached to tube just below petals, the style included in tube, early autumn. Stony calcareous soil and among rocks in sparse woodland, coastal belt of western Morocco and up to 50 km. inland. Frost tender.
