Claytonia sibirica). Like M. perfoliata but with two separate obovate bracts beneath the inflorescence. Flowers larger, usually pink sometimes white. Cahfornia to Montana and Alaska and Siberia, in moist shaded habitats. Said to be at least a short-lived perennial in the wild, but generally behaving as an annual in cultivation. More showy than M. perfoliata but also equally or more invasive.
