Botanical Description

sometimes widely so. Leaves ovate to narrowly so, usually shallowly five-lobed and toothed, long-hairy above, 5-10cm long. Racemes 20-35cm high. Flowers many, greenish, the petals divided into five to seven linear lobes, late spring to early summer. Japan by streamsides on mountains, often in woodland.
