Botanical Description

sometimes widely so. Leaves rounded, bluntly five-lobed, crenate-toothed, 3-7cm wide. Racemes 20-30cm tall having three basal leaves, the flowers like those of M. breweri, but opening from the top downwards, early summer. California to British Columbia, Idaho and Montana, in moist places often in forest, from sea level to montane.
